This article presents a collaborative urban resilience strategy for Granollers, Catalonia, developed by international students using data-driven methods. Through climate analysis, simulations, and multi-scale planning, the study proposes integrated adaptation and mitigation solutions to address heat, drought, and flooding in a rapidly changing Mediterranean context.

The UP2030 project in Rio de Janeiro supports the city’s Plan for Sustainable Development and Climate Action (PDS) by translating its long-term goals—climate mitigation, adaptation, and spatial justice—into actionable strategies at the neighbourhood scale.

The Thessaloniki UDCW 2025 introduced the transformation plan for Dioikitirion into a green, healthy, accessible, and vibrant neighborhood—an urban environment that breathes, walks, plays, works, and welcomes.

On April 12th, UCCRN team co-hosted with the City of Cornellà de Llobregat and local NGOs a community workshop in the neighborhood of Sant Ildefons, within the Climate Itinerary project.

Naples is increasingly vulnerable to the effects of climate change—heatwaves, floods, and droughts—while also facing deep socio-economic challenges. In this complex context, climate action becomes not only urgent but also an opportunity for regeneration, innovation, and social inclusion.

The UCCRN’s workshop in Isipingo, Durban, used climate data, community input, and urban design tools to support resilient, low-carbon development. Its outcomes now guide broader efforts like the Transformative River Management Programme.

The Gowanus Urban Design Climate Workshop reimagined Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood as a dense, climate-resilient district. Through data-driven modeling and community collaboration, the project proposed strategies to reduce emissions, mitigate heat and flooding, and support equitable development. It serves as a replicable model for sustainable urban planning in climate-vulnerable cities.
